First Overall at the 500km of Zandvoort

Another great success for the De Val twins, racing last weekend with Henk Haane, they managed to finish ahead of everybody with a Wolf GB08 at the renowned 500km of Zandvoort (The Netherlands).

After having qualified second overall, just a tenth of a second behind pole position made by a much more powerful Radical SR8, the italian-dutch crew raced in variable weather conditions, keeping the head of the race since the start, and giving it to the Radical for just a few laps in the middle of the competition.

The superb performance of Nicola and Stefano De Val, as well as the one of Henk Haane, was enlightened by the support of BasKoeten Racing team: the decision of staying on track and keeping rain tyres when, during neutralization period, the tarmac started showing signs of drying out, was a crucial one, while the mechanics’ ability permitted to perform really fast pit-stops.

Completed 500km, the race victory awarded both the superiority of the Wolf GB08 and the value of the crew once again. During this insidious race they avoided every single error, and increased their lead up to four minutes from the closest Radical SR8 of Intrax Racing, which ended up in second place.
