A highly experienced mechanical engineer specializing in automotive technology, Stefano De Val excels in leading teams, developing advanced physical models, and optimizing vehicle performance.

His background includes significant roles in F1, where he honed his expertise in tyre and brake systems. As a former racing driver and current consultant, he brings a comprehensive understanding of both technical and strategic aspects of the automotive industry. In 2023, he launched a consulting firm, providing expert advice in the automotive sector.

  • 8 years of experience in F1 as a Tyre Expert and department leader, managing two groups of senior engineers at Sauber Motorsport AG.

  • Responsible for physical model development for race preparation and Driver-In-the-Loop (DIL) simulator work.

  • Led technical development of current and next year’s F1 cars, focusing on performance optimization, including managing tyre and brake testing, planning, and budget management for F1 races
